SAEs provide a method in agricultural education for students to receive real-world career experiences in an area of agriculture that they are most interested in. Supervised Agricultural Experiences are an important component of agricultural education and are required element of all Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (AFNR) courses.

JOB SHADOWING
Job Shadowing is learning through observation and is a way to form partnerships between employers and CCSD students.  Shadowing is an opportunity for a student to spend a limited amount of time (less than 15 hours) with an individual in a chosen occupation in order to become familiar with the duties associated with that occupation and the physical setting of the occupation.
  • Job shadowing involves observing a professional as they work to get a better understanding of their particular career.
  • Can help determine whether a certain job is right for you.
  • Connect academics to workplace.
  • Students get to see the big picture.
  • Learn practical skills
